TOM
REYNOLDS

The Cross, Hallaton
Oak framed extension and complete renovation of 17th century listed house.
Tom managed the project to renovate a 300 year old listed house, adding a 60m2 oak framed extension to create a fantastic open plan kitchen living space with bifold doors opening on to a large patio area.
A key challenge was to bring the old house back to life, sympathetically and with care to preserve period features. Tom managed a complete renovation and reconfiguration project, installing modern 21st century comforts whilst also restoring and preserving beautiful old mullion windows, beams, tudor wattle walls and inglenook fireplaces. Work included a new heating system, 2 wood burners, electrics, lighting, flooring, new walls, bathrooms and complete redecoration. All working closely with the local listed building department and conservation tradesmen.

Stable conversion
Tom converted a dilapidated stable block into a modern office, utility room, gym, cloakroom and mezzanine storage area. This included new electrics, wifi, plumbing, conservation roof lights, bespoke hardwood stable doors and windows and slate flooring. All to a very high specification and in line with building regulations.

The house was redecorated and restyled throughout, with the addition of a new patio area and landscaped gardens.
